Only 1.5 hours from Phoenix lies this amazing neighborhood tucked away in the Tonto National Forest. Come and enjoy our four seasons and cool nights. We are just 5 minutes from town with all of its conveniences but the cabin is quiet and relaxing. The East Verde River flows through the community and is available for fishing and swimming. There is plenty of hiking through the forest. Just 10 minutes up the road is the Tonto Natural Bridge. The town of Payson has restaurants, parks, golf, movies and a casino.
The home has two bedrooms upstairs. One with a California King bed and walk in closet. The second bedroom has twin over full bunk beds and a single bed with a single trundle underneath. The single beds can be used separately or you can pop the trundle up and push them together to make another queen bed. The walk out basement also has a queen bed.
You can sit and enjoy the wonderful view from our covered porch or sit on the patio and grill dinner. We often hear and see elk in our neighborhood. The East Verde River is within walking distance to the cabin. During the summer there are several relaxing swimming spots and the river is stocked with trout for fishing.

We went up for a quick weekend, my husband and two daughters. There was plenty of space for us. The place was clean. Downstairs is where the bigger couch and TV are. A suggestion is putting the TV upstairs in the main area with the bigger couch. The two seater couch upstairs on the main level is not enough for families who like to entertain around the kitchen while cooking or eating and so on. There is no cable or dish, only what you bring as far as DVDs. Apple phones work with the WiFi however androids do not. There is no cell service or internet except the WiFi. I don’t believe any of this is disclosed in the description.
Loved the place, everything was nice and cleaned enough towels, dishes, chairs to sit out side and look at the rain fall, very closed to Payson, Parks, Lakes to fish. Do plan to come back again. Thank you.
4/5 Stayed Jul 2019
House was nice and met our needs, a few things could be tended to
Overall great house, The yard could be cleaned up and the deck appears to be needing some repairs, but those minor things did not affect our stay
