Turn of the century, spacious restored, well-appointed, artfully decorated waterfront home in the village of Monument Beach.
Directly on Phinney's Harbor, known for good sailing, swimming and kayaking. This home has a 50' porch facing the water with a view of spectacular sunsets. The interior has a wonderful, airy open feeling with a formal dining room, full bath, and a living room with a bay window seat overlooking the quaint harbor. The gourmet, eat-in kitchen has a large, walk-in pantry with all useful appliances including microwave, Kitchen Aid Mixer Cuisinart, etc. All of the bedrooms are on the second story and are ''air conditioned'' nightly from the lovely ocean breeze. On the second floor are 5 bedrooms and a full bath w/shower. Three of the bedrooms overlook the water and the master bedroom has a sun deck. The bath-house area is on the ground floor and includes changing rooms, large shower area, a dry bar and refrigerator. The house is appointed with a flat screen HD TV, Apple TV, WIFI.
On your arrival there is a Welcome Packet that includes information on places of interest including restaurants, kayak rentals, boat chartering, spas, museums and other family attractions. The famous restaurant, the Lobster Trap is only a 10-minute walk from door to door. Stop in at the Whistle Stop Ice Cream Shop on your walk home...
A short walk, less than 100 yards along the beach, there is a park overlooking the harbor. It has newly renovated tennis courts, a basketball court, playground and ball field.

Understated elegance, tranquility, and Treather is a phenomenal host and person who is nearby to make sure all your vacation needs are fully met without being intrusive in the least. In short, our stay was beyond our high expectations.

Thanks for everythin
Honestly, I could already tell from the photos that we were going to have an amazing time here. But even given the location, house, and all that came with our time at Pioneer Cottage, it somehow managed to far exceed our expectations. From the start, correspondence with Treather couldn't have been more helpful, informative, and overall so pleasant. The house was incredible (and fully stocked with all you need- all you really need to bring is a bathing suit and food and drink). I really cannot say enough about the host. Her and her's hospitality could not have been more warm and welcoming--adding so much to the vibe and warmth of an incredible place. Genuinely cannot thank Treather enough for opening up her family home to us. Anyone who stays here is in for a really very special treat. So grateful for our time spent there, and looking forward to the next opportunity to return. Thanks for everything, Treather. :)

wonderful stay
We had a wonderful stay at this stunning turn of the century property with beautiful original character right on Monument Beach. It was everything we could have hoped for. The property was accurately described and provided a perfect option for housing for an offsite family gathering attended by relatives from around the world. Treather is kind, has excellent character and was quite helpful.
