Description
4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom log cabin. A cozy mountain retreat, yet close enough to Asheville to enjoy all it has to offer! Enjoy long-range 60 mile views of the Smokey Mountains on one of our three west-facing decks….the sunsets are unforgettable!
Our cabin lay out works perfectly for multiple families. Main floor is fully handicap accessible with zero-entry shower and ADA approved grab bars in master bath. The main floor has master bedroom with queen bed (and ensuite, fully handicap accessible bath). The main living area also has two full size sofa beds, perfect for those late night movie watchers.
The second floor has a perfect room for kids, with two twin beds. There is also another spacious room with queen bed and a shared full bath in the hall. We offer a Pack n Play that will fit comfortably in any of the bedrooms.
The basement has a game room / theatre room and bar, as well as another queen bedroom with attached full bath. Laundry facilities are located on this floor as well. There are 3 levels of decks to enjoy the scenery - there really is nothing like it!
The main living room and theatre room are equipped with large-screen internet-streaming Roku TVs. Enjoy a movie while the kids enjoy the downstairs game room with pool table and dozens of games and puzzles.Free access to the community pool complete with volleyball net (our favorite!) and slide. Step out the front door and enjoy hiking around the cabin to see wildlife and beautiful views. There is also a playground perfect for younger children.
Magical Moments is just minutes from the Appalachian Trail – the kids will love telling their friends they hiked in the Cherokee National Forest all the way from NC to Tennessee! Our location, just 30 minutes north of Asheville on the only interstate labelled a "National Scenic By-Way", is a perfect “home base” for exploring all the beauty of this area: just 20 minutes to whitewater rafting, horseback riding and zip-lining; 30 minutes to caving and spelunking; 30 minutes to Blue Ridge Parkway….and less than 90 minutes to other attractions like Mt. Mitchell (highest peak east of the Mississippi), waterfalls, and Chimney Rock to name just a few.
While you'll receive a Welcome Kit via email with loads of suggestions for local restaurants and activities, you might find you don't even want to leave the cabin once you stock the kitchen (and the bar downstairs!). You'll enjoy all the conveniences of home with fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer, or enjoy al fresco dining from the BBQ grill on the deck!

Great mountain retreat
