Great Martha's Vineyard Edgartown/Katama rental option is half way between popular South Beach and Edgartown village. The home is about 1.5 miles from south beach, which is known for its breathtaking surf and nearly rock-free white sands. This two-level south facing contemporary is newly renovated and nested in a very quiet neighborhood. It has a great deck and outdoor shower. The backyard hot tub is a great place to relax after a day at the beach. Enjoy the hot and cool! Cathedral beadboard ceiling and lots of windows make this home airy and full of light. The home has an open floor plan, and can comfortably accommodate 8. 1st floor Master bedroom with a king sized bed. Three other bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. Each room has its own TV and a window AC. 1st floor has a full bath. The other full bath is on the 2nd floor. Washer and dryer in the den area, conveniently next to the main entrance. Kitchen is well-equipped with supplies. The living room is very open and includes an entertainment center. This home is beautifully decorated with a beach theme, and will give your family a casual and relaxing beach-style living! From July to September, most of my tenants are returning tenants and have been coming back for years. I am also looking forward to making new friends and making my house to be your next family gathering destination.

Excellent vacation destination
We visited MV on the memorial day weekend. It was our first time vacationing there. The place we stayed just got renovated. Brand new beautiful oak flooring with 6 inch planks. The first floor has a open floor plan. Decoration is artful. Hot tub was great. The location is convenient. Close to the town center and super markets. Also very close to the South Beach. One can run or bike to the south beach with ease. On the way, one will pass a grassy air strip and David Letterman's farm and mansion! My kids were very excited to see horses and other big live animals. MV is a great place to leave work behind and spend time with family. Don't bring blackberry with you! Or just let the battery drain and not recharge it. This was the first time I was able to not bother with checking my bb in some years. All in all, wonderful time for me and family. Great amenity provided by the property owner. Will definitely come back again and stay in the same place. Advice for MV vacationers. This propery is close enough to the beach, town center and super markets to travel on bicycles. If you can pack light, you won't need a car. I had to drive since I have 2 kids and brought their bicycles. Because of that, I had to go in on the memorial day weekend as that was the only time vehicle reservation was still available. Turned out, there are bicycle rentals and taxi service on the island. So if you can leave the vehicle at the ferry terminal, the accessibility to the island will be much better (and the fare is much cheaper). And you probably can get a good deal by being flexible.
This home is lovely
Pictures do not do this home justice. We had one of the best vacations and and plan to come back.. The owners were so very helpful and gracious before and after our stay. The house was well appointed, LOVELY, CLEAN and spacious. Our teens loved it as well and will only come with us on vacation again if we promise to rent this house again! The house is perfectly located on a quite wooded street but close to all the fun and action. The kids were able to walk to Edgartown center and South Beach was a quick drive. If you have 4 wheel drive make sure you drive out to the beach and get a sticker for the week. It cost $100.00 but is good for a full year and worth not having to lugging our beach gear over the sand.

Our family (2 couples and 2 12 year old girls) enjoyed a week in this beautiful Katama area home! We were so pleased with the bright, cheerful beach style décor and easy access to the large deck from the greatroom/dining area. The kitchen was well stocked with all you need to prepare a family dinne,r and the outdoor gas grill was clean and easy to use. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms well appointed. The kids loved the outdoor shower for post-beach clean off; the guys used it every day in lieu of the indoor showers. The hot tub/spa was like new and super clean, situated right in the deck. Plenty of deck seating and a lovely table with umbrella. We had a few friends who were staying in East Chop come by for brunch and there was plenty of seating indoors and outside for our group plus 4 friends. Finally, plenty of parking right outside the home. Very quiet area! Great access to bike trails and Katama beach. A real winner!

Looking forward to next year
We thoroughly enjoyed this Katama home. The open concept kitchen / great room was great for our family. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed for the week. The large deck with hot tub was a great asset we enjoyed it using it in the evening. Bedroom setup was great for multiple couples. The location is perfect for visiting South Beach and quite an easy drive to Long Point. The owners were very responsive and great with all the details for renting. Will definitely rent again.

Relaxing week on the Vineyard
This is the second time that we have stayed the week at this lovely home in Martha's Vineyard. On a quiet residential street, home feels very private. This spacious home has everything you could need for a family vacation. There were 6 of us and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Fully stocked kitchen had all the small appliances we needed, and plenty of pots,pans, dishes etc. Large dining table for all of us to eat and play board games. There are books, games and a wii system already in the home. Very clean and well kept. Beautiful huge new deck outside to sit out and there is a barbecue grill and of course the hot tub! This 4BR/2BA is great for families or for adult couples sharing the home. Loved Linda Jean's restaurant in Oak Bluffs for family friendly eats and of course its close to the arcade and the numerous ice cream parlors. Also enjoyed bowling at the Barn!

Great house, amazing location and great owner
The location can't be any better. You have easy access to south beach and edgartown. There is so much to do in this area. It's the best area of MV. We had such a great time on our vacation no one wanted to leave. The house is beautiful and well kept. It was spotless when we arrived. Thank you very much!! We will definitely come back

Great home for a family vacation
We spent a week in Yan and Ralph's house to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday. It was a great space for our group with two young kids. It was a quick trip to Edgartown and South Beach -- we were able to explore the island while being close to great daily spots. We loved having breakfast on the porch and watching the turkeys and rabbits pass by! The house has lots of light and is decorated with a nice beach and vacation feel. Thank you for a great stay!

Super Katama headquarters!
Our family of seven were extremely comfortable in this clean, cozy, quiet property within easy biking distance to South Beach and Edgartown. Bedrooms and beds were all great and Yan and Ralph had everything (and more!) ready for guests. If you like being central enough in Katama but private in your backyard, with hot tub!, then definitely look here. Check in, and check out were all dead easy and Yan responded quickly and completely to every question we had. Highest marks here!
