The Nature House is a secluded cabin retreat nestled alongside a canal with access to the Withlacoochee River. The home boasts an entire wall of windows, a comforting electric fireplace, huge loft, large great room, and two spacious bedrooms. The full sized kitchen, flat screen TVs with Roku devices, DSL internet access, and memory foam mattresses will make you feel right at home. There are two king beds downstairs and one full size bed upstairs. Four to six guests can stay comfortably with ample room to spread out in 1500 square feet of living space. Canoes and kayaks can be launched from the back yard
You will start your adventure on a three mile lumpy bumpy dirt road so leave your delicate vehicles behind. Campers and small RVs do travel on the roads, but rains and pot holes can be challenging at times. The beautiful 150 year old granddaddy oak trees will welcome you on way and may limit cell phone coverage. Wildlife sightings are common with deer, possums, alligators, and coyotes. The nearby national forests also have bears and monkeys. You will likely see insects you have never seen before.
Big Blue springs is just up the road, accessible only by kayak or by foot. The town of Dunnellon is also close by and has wonderful shops and eateries. Three Sister Springs, about 45 minutes away, is one of the only places in the world where you can swim with Manatees in crystal clear waters. Rainbow springs is about 30 minutes away and offers beautiful waterfalls, a lazy river, and swimming in the clear spring fed waters.
Groceries and shopping is within close distance; Ocala is about 20 minutes away. While secluded you will be close to neighbors who choose to live here full time or visit for fun. The Nature House is your rustic home away from home. Great for making family memories or to just unwind from the daily grind.

Excellent Time
Cozy, private, comfortable, are some of adjectives that describe Nature House. The construction and familiar distribution inside is excellent. Only minutes from Rainbow River, and with a water channel behind that connect with a bigger waterway. Theoretically is only for five people but is capable to accommodate easily seven or eight, plenty of space. Very quite neighborhood , except maybe two big dogs from the home beside who tried some times to break the fence between houses. A very good idea could be to include with the house at least two kayaks.
Loved It
Loved it, It is definitely off the beaten path, but there are a few people around that keep to themselves. Careful on your way out, cell service is spotty. For all that you get away from its a true value.
Great spot
Great spot to unwind and have some fun. We booked direct and couldn't have been happier with the whole process. Will definitely return.
