Description
2 bedroom, 2 bath sleeps 4
This property is located in a historic West Sedona area called Grasshopper Flats, where early settlers developed apple orchards and grew squash and other vegetables. With an abundance of underground water, it's one of the greenest zones you'll find in Sedona.
Lush gardens and twenty trees surround the cottage, including a few ancient apple trees, huge mulberry's, and one very precious, very old Japanese maple. All this attracts many birds and butterflies, making this delightful place all the more enchanting. You may even spot a fairy or two. Windows all around bring nature indoors, and provide red rocks views, too.
The front porch, back decks and furnished patio provide more views, and are the perfect places for quiet contemplation, lively conversation, Dark Sky star-gazing, and more. Comfy chaise lounges on the largest back deck are adjustable to lay flat - perfect for sleeping outside under the stars if you want to.
The cottage is walking distance to boutique shops, restaurants, Over the Edge bike shop, Verde Lynx bus stop, Whole Foods, Natural Grocers, movie theatres, Starbucks, and more. Other services, major shopping hubs, the Sedona community pool, scores of art galleries, jeep-tour pick-up points, and many hiking trailheads are just 5 minutes away by car.
Birders and nature lovers, this is an exceptionally good location for you - only 5 minutes from Sedona Performing Arts Center for Sedona's annual Hummingbird Festival, 10 minutes to Red Rock State Park and only 15 minutes to two Important Bird Areas that attract over 200 bird species. The main hub for Sedona birding information, Jay's Bird Barn, is only a few minutes by car or bike.
If you're coming to Sedona for mountain biking, the cottage is a fantastic home-base for you, too. There are many trails you can easily ride to (5-10 minutes on the pavement to trailheads such as the Airport and Adobe Jack, and even more within a short distance by car). The cottage is only a 10 minute walk to Over the Edge bike shop, where you can rent bikes and other equipment, and get trail advice from the very helpful staff. Need to wash all that red dirt off your bike or do repairs? No problem. There's a hose and work space for you in the backyard.
A special bonus - the drinking water at this property is provided by deep wells that tap into pristine aquifers below. A private water company services this small section of Sedona - no chlorine or fluoride added - just wonderfully clean and tasty water. .

An oasis
Beautiful place to come home to after a full day of hiking. Really enjoyed using the outdoor fire as soon as it got cool in the evenings. Also great proximity to a lot of the best hikes in the area.

Great Place
Lovely cottage, very clean and well stocked. Delightful patio for outside dining and Michele has provided very thoughtful touches such as grocery cards and parking passes plus much more. Location is excellent also. We have absolutely no complaints. We can't think of anything we lacked. Thank you for everything!
