Arrival at the home begins with a private, reserved, off-street parking space dedicated to this condo which eliminates the challenges of downtown parking. The entrance to the building is immediately across the street from the parking lot, and the front door is secured by coded entry for after hours access. The lobby is designed with Victorian style, and an elevator delivers guests to the upper floor where this condo is located on an interior hallway.
Inside the one-level condo, guests will find an open floor plan that includes the kitchen with countertop dining and living room, a private bedroom and a three quarter bath, with new custom finishes including granite countertops, custom tile flooring and window treatments.
The stylish, updated kitchen is complete with modern appliances, cookware and tableware, with dining on the granite countertop island. In the living room, guests will find a large, flat screen TV, sofa with full-size, convertible bed and south-facing windows for enjoyment of a light and bright, sunny room during the day.
The private bedroom includes king sized bed with new, hand-made quilt. The large closet and south-facing windows complete the suite. The bathroom, also on one level in this condo, is quite elegant with walk-in shower, and stylish vanity with enough room for dressing, all adorned with custom tile and flooring to add to the upscale experience of comfort and luxury in this quaint downtown setting.
As an option to the elevator, guests can conveniently reach West 10th Street via stairs which lead to the main lobby just a few feet from the condo. Outside this door, is the sidewalk near the corner of W. 10th Street and Main Avenue, where travelers are in the midst of Historic, downtown Durango, surrounded by restaurants, shopping, art galleries and entertainment.
The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and Museum (The Durango Train) is five blocks walking distance from this spot. The Durango Welcome Center, with an abundance of visitor information, is two blocks walking distance at the corner of 8th Street and Main Avenue.

Great location, comfortable condo
My wife and I enjoyed the location of the Jarvis condo. While it was small, it was close to everything downtown with no need to use the car. Parking was very convenient, across the street. The kitchen has just about anything/every thing you might need for a short stay. Very clean and comfortable, for the most part. Would advise potential short term renters of two things: one, the couch is very uncomfortable; two, the bar on the corner of 10th St. and Main St. can be loud on weekend nights (Friday/Saturday) with their DJ. If the couch is replaced, we would rent this again. It’s the only thing about the place that we both found to be very uncomfortable.

Outstanding Location
Great Condo in small historic building in downtown Durango. Perfect Location, off street parking. Well appointed bright cheerful home with comfortable bed, a plenty of space. Would highly recommend for those wanted to be close to great shopping and dining options.
